Should Your Sunday Be Something Like Mine …

Then you might be in the market for the fix to fix all ailments.  If you’re physically sore and tired (relaxing weekend? Who the hell gets those?), are still finishing up work because thankfully your little ones were swept away to dreamland before 10:00PM, if the thought of the work week ahead seems so daunting it makes you want to hide in that little space between the table and the wall that even the vacuum won’t fit in. If you are looking for something that will make you feel good even if it’s just for a few moments before you remember that you’re still wearing that ugly pair of pajama pants that your husband told you to “never wear … they’re horrible,”  Then you need an ice cream sundae, a Sunday Sundae, if you will.

Don’t skimp and use some low fat topping.  Go for the REAL stuff, full-fat ice cream (Ben & Jerry’s if it’s on sale) and if you even contemplate some type of whipped topping that isn’t Reddi-wip, then just fill up your cup and then throw it down the garbage disposal — BTW, if you have a garbage disposal, you deserve 1/8th of a teaspoon less ice cream given the wonderful convenience of that fabulous appliance.

Take your time. Savor it. It’s Sunday.  The nuggets are fast asleep. Hopefully your’ work weekend is coming to a close, nobody is any worse for the wear and maybe, just maybe, this coming week will not be any worse than the one you just survived.
